In 2021, The Lincoln Park Conservancy commemorated the 60th anniversary of the Lincoln School Decision with a series of programs entitled Quest for Justice – A 60-Year Commemoration of the Lincoln School Decision.
The kickoff for the programs was streamed LIVE on Facebook in January of 2021 and reached over 4,000 people. Participants in the kickoff included: NYS Senator and Majority Leader Andrea Stewart-Cousins, Senator Shelley Mayer, Assemblypersons Amy Paulin and Steve Otis, County Executive George Latimer, Deputy County Executive Ken Jenkins, Legislators Terry Clements and Damon Maher, Mayor Noam Bramson, City Manager Chuck Strome, Councilwoman Yadira Ramos-Herbert, Judge Jared Rice, TLPC Board Members Paul Zuber and Tom Buchanan.
Quest for Justice – Artist Reception
TLPC hosted a virtual reception for the artists that participated in the STRUGGLE Exhibit, where they were able to talk about the context and background of their work, as well as to meet and fellowship with the community of artists involved in the Exhibit.
